Because it was Lucrecia's responsibility as a parent to love and raise her child, and she failed.
Because it was Vincent's responsibility to stop her from acting so selfishly and stupidly, and he failed.
But unlike Lucrecia, Vincent actually tried.
Confronting his once-lover didn't work, and confronting the other party ended in undeath...which enabled him to experience the results of his failure after thirty years....which also ended in death.
(Just not his this time.)

Sooo my grandfather fell -again- and had to go to the hospital and I was stuck taking care of my dementia-ridden grandmother.
She told me off for 'stealing' from the refrigerator because she thought we were guests at the apartment.
...She's lived there for three years.
So basically I was there for five hours with my tablet, no internet, and a crabby grandma because she keeps forgetting why I'm there and where she is and blah blah blah. No internet=I couldn't access my email to get my WIP commission, which meant I had to draw something new and feel bad about not working on what I was supposed to be.
Oh well.

no!! that's a lie!! Lucrecia did try!! Hojo wouldn't even let her see her child!! and anyways, she felt so damn guilty for what happened to Vincents father THAT is why she went to hojo for "Comfort"...i put quotes around comfort for the mear reason of the etymology of Lucrecia's name which is as follows: Lucrecia is a Spanish name and is a reference to the mythical Roman figure Lucretia, who was infamously raped by Sextus Tarquinius. It is possible this allusion is a hint that Lucrecia's relationship with Hojo was less consensual than it appeared. so why don't you think about that before you go saying "Lucrecia is dumb" or "Lucrecia is a whore" or "Lucrecia is a bitchy little gold digger" or anything else of the sort...Maybe try doing a little more research about a character before you go making accusations....everyone has a their own side every story.
